So long 2011!

HELLO 2012!

Not only are we entering 2012 but we are also entering the third trimester!  I am sooo thrilled to meet this sweet little boy and of course I want whats best for him, so that means he needs to keep baking for 12 more weeks but man am I ready to not be pregnant.  That sounds terrible and I'm sure all you out there are saying "gosh she's going to be a terrible mom" but come on...these back aches, sleepless nights, growing belly (and everything else), not being able to enjoy ice cream, eating 10 oz. steaks (yea the whole thing, plus the potato and rolls), trying to catch my breath, superman punches, karate kid kicks, and my mouth always having that nasty acid taste...yea I'm ready for that part to be over.  So yes, the third trimester sounds good to me...it's closer to meeting this little mountain baby.  So for the next 12 or so weeks I'll put up with whatever else pregnancy is going to throw my way (hope Matt can handle it)...

Here is a picture from this past monday...
Yes I'm huge!

Like I said, I can't wait to meet this crazy hyper active little boy (yes i'm assuming that he's hyper since he never really stops moving).  I can't wait to see what God has made, I can't wait to watch him grow and learn, and I can't wait to see what God teaches Matt and I through this amazing blessing.  I know I complain about pregnancy but I feel truly blessed that God trusts me with His child.  I mean really...my parents had a hard time with trusting me with a dog or cell phone or anything else just a few years ago (ok almost 10 years ago but few sounds better)...and now God is giving me a kid!?!  Crazy!  Oh well, He knows what He's doing, now it's just up to Matt and I to glorify Him and do the best we possibly can.

Well, anyways...Bring it on 2012!!  I think I'm ready!  Or atleast I hope I am.

Happy New Years to all my friends and family!  LOVE YOU ALL!

Christmas

Sooo yea TWO blogs in one day!!

This Christmas, Matt and I decided after all the traveling we've been doing the past two months that maybe it would be good to stick around here for Christmas.  So we spent our WHITE Christmas here.  Lucky for us one of the wyldlife girl's family came to Colorado so we surprised her.  Her family knew we were coming but Ashton had no idea.  They told her that fedex was dropping off a present for her so we rang the door bell and SURPRISE it wasn't fed ex.  You can watch the video on facebook, but I think she was shocked!  We spent the next two days with her and her family, it was pretty great!

We also celebrated Matt's birthday that week.   He turned 28 this year (ohhh myyy he's soooo close to the big 3-0).  Last year he was a little disappointed in his birthday present (due to the fact that I got him a Christmas cd and shoes he picked out and as he says, paid for haha) so I surprised him with an ipod nano.  I'm pretty sure he was expecting something terrible because he seemed a little surprise.  I really wish I had filled his nano with Christmas music but oh well...maybe next time.  I also got him the most expensive pizza I could find!  It was seriously $30!!!  But since it was a special occasion and it's his ultimate favorite food, I went ahead and got it.  Let's just say...it was massive!  I froze some so it's kind of like the pizza that keeps giving.

Then of course there was Christmas.   I must say I'm so excited about next year's Christmas that this year it was hard for me to get into it.  Anyways, best gifts of the year....
How's it possible that he's almost 30??

It was hard to decide between the coke and the Tim Tebow shirt....

And of course a little Pinterest Christmas Breakfast!  Was going to make monkey bread but ran out of butter haha.
Anyways, Christmas was great...just like always.  How could it not be great...we get to celebrate our savior and  the whole gifts thing!?!  Next year looks like we'll be spending Christmas with our amazing little boy and the family!  I'm already soo excited...too bad we have to wait a year!

Another long drive.

So Dad flew to Houston to help me drive the 1053 miles from Texas to Colorado.  It was definitely a long drive and one I've made a few too many times.  Adding the whole being pregnant part and that adds a million restroom breaks and snack stops.  Anyways here are a few pictures from our drive...
We stopped at the Ft. Worth Stockyards.  Who knew cows could be so interesting!?

I had to teach this guy how it's really done...he felt like an idiot after a prego out did him!
Dad was pretty grumpy the whole drive ;)

In Amarillo we saw some old Cadillacs...weird.
The driving didn't end when we got to Colorado.  We ended up exploring for the next three days.  It was fun but oh my I was ready to crash afterwards.
Yes, that's chocolate bacon.  Good ol' Rocky Mountain Chocolate factory.  P.S.  I don't recommend it!

Garden of the Gods

Oh yea, Baby Dees has already been to 14,110 ft!!

And of course Matt has to mess with Sasquatch!

And lastly, ARE YOU KIDDING ME!?!

I need to take way more pictures!

Well my last weeks in Texas came and went entirely too fast.

I spent my last days in Texas eating great food, visiting with amazing friends, hanging out with the best Younglife and Wyldlife girls in the world, and of course crying every time I thought about the fact that i was moving.  My amazing friends in Texas threw me two showers before I left.   I say me but aren't they really for baby Dees?  Oh well...that's for another day.  I of course brought my camera to both of them but it's kind of hard taking pictures when you're preoccupied with amazing food and friends.  So here I am, almost a month later with no pictures from one shower and only a few from the other.  Sad day...

Well here are two pictures from the shower my 8th grade Wyldlife girls threw me.  It was such a fun shower and seriously I should probably take pictures of every onesie they made for little man...yes MADE!  They are AWESOME!

Thanks girls for all the presents and for just being awesome!  I miss you all like cray-cray!!  Love you all!

And here are the awesome High School leaders (plus a few).  Oh Clare and Maggie... :)

Probably the hardest thing I've ever done is say bye to these girls.  I know it's not really "bye" but knowing I won't see them at least once a week is definitely hard!!  Love you girls!

Texas, you changed my life (and waist line) with your amazing cajun food, brisket, loving people, rodeos, and humidity.   Thanks for giving Matt and I a pretty great first 2 years of marriage!  Don't worry, we won't be seperated for long...I'll be visiting soon!
