Happy Halloween!!

Bulldogs Beat Kentucky 24-17

Bulldogs are 7-2 so far this season.  That stupid school that smells like corn dogs from Louisiana and that rented mule Cam Newton were the only ones to walk away with a victory.  So I'm sure you can guess what our Saturday nights involve....

 Lucky for us, we have been able to watch every game!  Keep it up Bulldogs!

Friday, Friday, Friday!!

Friday, Matt and I carved pumpkins.   We decided since it was pretty late for jack-o-lanterns, we would do Football themed pumpkins! 


Since the whole process took us three or four hours I decided to add a few more pictures.

Matt's definitely turned out the best but we won't talk about that....WHO DAT!?!  GO STATE!!!

Oprah did something I approve of today...She had the seven vontrapp kids (movie version), Christopher Plummer, and the amazing Julie Andrews on the show.  Let's just say it was a very emotional hour for me.  Sooo today's photo is in honor of The Sound of Music.

Julie Andrews, if you're reading this blog, I am your biggest fan and you are always welcome to dinner in my home!  Just saying...

I LOVE fall...

I love fall.  I love the colors, the weather, the college football, the camping, the mountains...  But here in Texas we only get the college football (luckily Mississippi State's wins have helped me with the transition).  So Wednesday's picture might be boring but its the only fall I get! 


Also, I took a picture of some of my classmates from my photography class.  Last night was my last night and in case you were wondering, yes I was extremely embarrassed to ask them to let me take their picture.  I promise I learned stuff in my class but I had nothing to prop my camera and it was dark outside so that's why my picture is blurry.  Sorry!

Saturday and Sunday's pictures.

Saturday, Matt and I were taking pictures of some pretty cute little girls but I couldn't help being distracted by this guy and his cooler.  With the cooler continuously slamming into his side in the rough water, I found it hardly believable that he could reel in fish under those conditions.  I think this picture sums up the madness where I live.

I know there are two but I just couldn't help it....

and so it begins

SOOO I came up with this incredible, unique, original idea on friday…ok maybe that’s a lie.  The truth is, I turned in my two week notice at a job I hate.  Yea that’s right, I did.  Now I’m almost unemployed.  So it’s safe to say I was feeling a little useless, lazy and everything else negative yesterday.  Due to this I decided I wanted to start something I could finish.  I wanted to do something that would challenge me as a person and photographer.

So the challenge is….

drum roll please….

I will be taking a photo a day for the next 365 days.  (since I started it two days ago i only have 363 left..yess!)

SOOO you’re wondering why the heck I would want to take on such an amazingly awesome task…

Well here are a few reasons….

* To give my family and friends an idea of what’s going on in the Dees’ home. 

* To challenge myself as a person and photographer. 

* Because my husband told me I should.

* To find my own personal style as a photographer, I haven’t found anything that would set me apart from the rest of the photographers in this big crazy world

* To actually finish a project!  I never completely finish anything…and I mean anything. 

* To document this year, life is very different than it was for me a year ago (and thank goodness, I loved my wedding but really I could have done without all the planning).  I want to be able to look at this blog and remember this next year and be able to see how I’ve changed as a photographer, Christian, wife, wyldlife leader, daughter, friend, sister, niece, granddaughter, cousin, and whatever else makes me Christa.    

* To show off my adorably bad dog, Kona

So I’m sure I have more reasons, but I’m a little ADD so I’ve already forgotten them. 

Anyways, I hope that you can find this blog just a little interesting, if not just visit the page so it looks like I have lots of readers!!  Ok, thanks!
