For the Kindgom and the King

For His glory we will sing
For the rescue of our souls
He has come...
Check out Robbie Seay Band!!  They are great!  Or as the young people are saying now a days...LEGIT!

The fog has been crazy here this week

We took a bike ride on the sea wall in Galveston.  It was pretty much the nicest day ever!

Congrats Jenn and Julian!

We went to a fabulous wedding downtown this past weekend!  Jenn and Matt work together, I believe they actually started at the same time.  Jenn and Julian love to travel so it was the theme of their wedding.  Everything was gorgeous and the cake was delicious!  It was really dark and we had no flash so I apologize for the graininess!
Jenn, if you read this, you were gorgeous and you planned an amazing evening!  I hope you and Julian have the greatest time on your upcoming trip!  May God bless you with the greatest married life possible!

The best cake topper ever!

Chocolate covered carrot cake!

Keep Austin Weird

So this past weekend, Matt and I took a little day trip to Austin.  Wow!  I love Austin and probably mostly due to this lady...

Ok, so if you know me at all you know that I am a HUGE fan of the tv show, Friday Night Lights.  Well the show is filmed in Austin and we just so happened to see Tammy Taylor herself (wearing the glasses shown above)!  We were walking down Congress St.  looking at the shops and what not, when I hear Matt say "Look it's Tammy Taylor!"  He didn't realize when he said it that the woman he was talking about was actually her!!   She walked right by us, I believe she even looked at Kona, which then you know she thought "Aww what a cute dog."  Of course, due to me being an awkward freak...I just gawked at her.  No words came out.  Sadly, I now have no proof that I ever saw her.  If only I wasn't such a freak.

Anyways, Austin was pretty great.  Better than Houston.  Full of food, eat-local grocery stores, runners, parks, dogs, vintage clothing, kayaking, and of course music.  I now love Austin, weirdness and all.

Texas State Capitol building....and if you were wondering, even the capitol building is bigger in Texas! (7 feet taller than the u.s. capitol, 360000 sq. ft.)

Kona enjoyed his day!

Lovely Austin

I just really liked the looks of this, who cares if they didn't pass the health and safety test.

We ate a Salt Lick BBQ and well this looks neat and all but it just doesn't compare to a smoker!  Sorry Texas, Mississippi has you beat when it comes to BBQ

One crazy year...

We've almost had Kona for a whole year and though I know blog readers will think I'm crazy...but I just had to have a post dedicated to Little Kona Ray.  (Matt will probably make fun of me forever for this)

He might be crazy, he might bark at me everytime i'm on the phone, or poop more than a normal dog, or bite me if i'm not giving him attention but I think he is the cutest dog ever.  Matt would probably say he doesn't like the dog but he is lying so don't listen...

Now isn't that just the cutest dog you ever did see!??!

Technology is taking over my life...this is ridiculous!

Oh traffic...how I loathe you

Sam Houston is even cooler in Texas...

Wonder if Matt saw me creeping...

Spent an entire week planning this one event....it was sooo worth it!

Ok...say it with me now..AWWWW

learning a little bit about lighting...

Sorry it's been so long since I last blogged...I have no excuse!

So I know nothing about lighting except that...
this umbrella stand weighs nothing and the winds in Galveston will prove it (thank goodness i married an engineer and he can figure out how to fix anything...except the heater)

and it makes matt my slave...muwhahaha.
